While Tesla has been known to go above and beyond for its customers, its services went in a rather unexpected direction recently. The company’s latest vehicle, the Tesla Model 3 was recently used in a successful marriage proposal. The car’s owner basically popped the question by writing it on the vehicle’s sketchpad, which is something of an Easter egg that went with the set of wheels.
Tesla is a company that absolutely loves to surprise its customers. One of the ways it does so is by hiding special Easter eggs in its vehicles for owners to find, Electrek recently reported. Among them is a sketchpad for the center console, which was introduced during the 8.1 update.
The feature is exactly what it sounds like. It enables users to write on the screen whatever they want. This is what a Tesla Model 3 owner Matthew Piccolo used to propose to his girlfriend by essentially encouraging her to find it.
Just to warm everyone’s hearts over the proposal, Piccolo also tweeted photos of the event, which captured his girlfriend’s surprise. As news reports involving Tesla go, this is certainly one of the most positive ones that have come out recently.
It’s also neat that this particular occasion involved a Tesla Model 3 and an owner from Texas, no less. The company has been facing issues with the production of the vehicle for some time now. There is also the constant barrage of negative media coverage that the company and CEO Elon Musk have had to contend with.
That last part might not be such a huge problem for Tesla since it’s free publicity, Forbes reports. However, stories like those of Piccolo and his Tesla Model 3 are great for the company because they provide a break from the constant negativity surrounding it these days. Sometimes, people just want to read heartwarming coverage of vehicles they want to buy.
