There are a lot of things that fans of sports cars and EVs are looking forward to with the Tesla Roadster 2.0. Ever since it was unveiled, the range, acceleration, and street cred that is all part of the package have had dreamers salivating at the thought of owning one. Tesla CEO Elon Musk is promising to make the offer even more enticing via free Wi-Fi. However, could the company actually be holding back with its 60Mph in 1.9 seconds feature?
As the Tesla Motors Club recently noted, owners of cars from the company will have plenty of reasons to celebrate in the near future thanks to the video playback feature being planned. This is basically an entertainment option that drivers will have access to while having their cars recharged at charging stations. This should become widely available by the time the Tesla Roadster 2.0 is released.
However, the more intriguing part of this development is the prospect of there being free Wi-Fi available at Tesla Superchargers so that drivers can access the web whenever they want. What’s more, there is a possibility of video streaming via services like Netflix to become supported. If so, it might be worth taking a break from the blistering speed of the Tesla Roadster 2.0 to binge on some shows.
Coming back to the actual Tesla Roadster 2.0, though, being able to reach 60Mph in under two seconds is already impressive enough. However, a fan recently thought to improve on that by coming up with a concept car that can leave even this phenomenal electric car in the dust. Calling it the Tesla Olympus Max, Jeroen Claus came up with something that could only be considered a monster EV.
The vehicle shares a lot of similarities with the Aston Martin Valkyrie and if equipped with the same level of power and precision as the Tesla Roadster 2.0, it could be a beast of a car. In fact, when factoring in aerodynamics and potential power load, it might even beat the 1.9-second limit. This is if Tesla ever bothered to build something like it.
