‘The 100’ season 4 may be premiering sometime in 2017 as revealed by actress Marie Avgeropoulos. Cast members talked about the fate of their characters while main actress Eliza Taylor expressed her excitement for the renewal of the series.

According to Melty, Avgeropoulos confirmed that season 4 may air sometime in early 2017. The television series was notably absent in the list of incoming shows for The CW.

She said, "…there's a lot of twist and turns next season, which is gonna air next year between January and March." She also teased that her character Octavia Blake “gets a lot darker next season."

The 29-year old Greek-Canadian actress plays Octavia, a major character in the series. Octavia is sister to Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) and lover to Lincoln (Ricky Whittle). She was also a medical assistant to Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor) and collected information on Grounders for the Delinquents.

Since Octavia was an illegal second child, she was sent to juvenile lockup. Octavia is described as beautiful, uninhibited, self-confident, and free-spirited. In “We Are Grounders”, she is more violent towards the enemy and acts more like a Grounder.

Isiah Washington also teased that season 4 will be more like a road to redemption for his character Chancellor Thelonious Jaha. Jaha was the last Chancellor of the Council that governed the Ark. He said, "There's gonna be a long road of repair for Jaha's character. A LOT. I'm really excited to see what the writers come up with to hopefully get him somewhere."

According to another article IGN, the incoming season will pick up where season 3’s grim turn of events left off. Eliza Taylor, who plays Clarke Griffin, expressed her enthusiasm for season 4. Clarke was one of the chosen 100 sent to Earth after the devastating nuclear war to test if the planet could be habitable again.

She said, “I was absolutely overwhelmed and happy by the renewal, because it took so long for people to get attached to it. I’m still like “what? Another one? Amazing!” I have no idea what Season 4 has in store for us but I feel very grateful that we get to continue this story. There are so many shows like this that don’t get the opportunity to continue their story and I’m so excited.”

‘The 100’ is a post-apocalyptic science-fiction television series based on the novels of the same name by author Kass Morgan. It focuses on a group of teens who become the first humans to inhabit Earth following a devastating nuclear war that left the planet a wasteland.
