“The 100” season 6 is already the talk among the fans despite the fact that season 5’s conclusion still has to air tonight. It seems that The CW is excited as well because it already renewed the series for another season.
Express reported in May that the said TV network asked the producers to prepare for “The 100” season 6. The announcement made the fans happy as there were speculations that season 5 is the end of the series.
Season Renewal
Moreover, it was The CW president Mark Pedowitz who confirmed that there will be more seasons to come once the fifth installment of “The 100” concludes. At the recent Television Critics Association summer press tour, he was asked if the sci-fi drama has already reached its end and to this, E! News quoted him as saying, "I doubt it actually. Jason Rothenberg did a remarkable job of revitalizing the show, and I hope it can go on for a long time."
He added that the “The 100” executive producer Jason Rothenberg may already have a six or seven-year plan for the series and reiterated that it will go beyond year five. Pedowitz even shared that there is even a chance to go for season 7 and fans just need to wait for the official announcement.
Cast Lineup
“The 100” season 5 finale is about war. Everyone will be involved in a huge battle so it can be assumed that there will be deaths. However, we still do not know who will survive but nevertheless, assuming that the heroes will return victorious, aside from Eliza Taylor and Clark Griffin, everyone is expected to return for “The 100” season 6.
This means fans will still see Bob Morley (Bellamy Blake), Marie Avgeropoulos (Octavia Blake), Christopher Larkin (Monty Green), Lindsey Morgan (Raven Reyes) and Henry Ian Cusick (Marcus Kane) in action.
Air Date
“The 100” season 6 does not have a premiere date yet and this is mostly because filming has not even started yet. Surely, there will still be plenty of work behind the scenes before the camera finally starts rolling again. Until then, the air date for this program cannot be determined yet.
Meanwhile, “The 100” season 5 finale is airing tonight at 8 p.m. on The CW.
