Cameras are still rolling for the new episodes in “The 100” season 6. Delays in production are common but the show met an unfortunate reason to temporarily halt filming after Bob Morley, the actor playing Bellamy’s character, needed a knee surgery previously.
The actor confirmed that he will be undergoing the medical procedure in August to treat his injured knee. Morley’s safety and recovery is, without question, a priority for the cast and crew so they reportedly decided to take a week of break from filming “The 100” season 6.
It does not seem like the production delay lasted for more than a week. Morley was able to attend the New York Comic Con last October where he provided an update on his recovery and a little bit of teaser for “The 100” season 6.
Going under the knife for my knee tomorrow, never done this before. #notonmybucketlist a new day and a new knee!

Morley confirmed they enlisted help from stunt doubles to film scenes where Bellamy needs to be running or walk a lot. Fans should also expect to see Bellamy sitting down in “a lot” of scenes, the actor told IBT.
“I like to be physically active and all that stuff. So, to not be able to walk since July 20 ’til like [late September] is pretty frustrating. So, it affected me, in a big way. And maybe a little bit of the show,” the “The 100” season 6 actor added.
Meanwhile, there was a recent rumor that “The 100” season 6 will include a musical-themed episode. Showrunner Jason Rothenberg later addressed the reports saying, “Hey guys, I’ve seen some rumors regarding a musical episode, and while I do love a good musical, that will never happen.”
There are many details about “The 100” season 6 that are still under wraps including its release date. What is certain for now is it will happen in 2019. There are speculations that the show will not greatly change is the annual schedule and the new season might premiere sometime in spring on The CW.
