“The 100” season 6 has not yet entered the filming and production stages. But curious fans now have theories on what could happen next.
Many are speculating on the possible return of the Eligius III to the story. Meanwhile, a fan also suggests the possibility of a romantic tandem between Jordan (Shannon Kook) and Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) tandem in “The 100” season 6.
Since the season 5 finale, numerous plot theories created by avid fans have been circulating online. Most of them refer to the possible return of Eligius III and that some of its crew members have likely survived all this time and will enter the picture in “The 100” season 6.
Redditor Inkliine recently posted a “The 100” season 6 theory suggesting that the series might initially focus on a smaller number of characters once the series returns. Since season 5 ended by introducing a new planet, fans think that the start of the next season will tackle how the core characters will figure out essential details about their new planet. The same Redditor also suggested that the core characters will start by “trying to find the Eligius III descendants.”
In an earlier post, Redditor Incanto also shared a more comprehensive theory on “The 100” season 6 that has a lot to do with the return of Eligius III. For one, the said fan believes that there is a “much deeper level” of connection between the lost spaceship and the Second Dawn cult leader, Bill Cadogan (John Pyper-Ferguson).
With that in mind, the same fan suggested that the surviving crew of Eligius III could turn out to be the villains in “The 100” season 6. And if that happens, there is a chance that the next season might include at least one episode focused on flashback scenes about Cadogan.
There is also a lingering theory that Jordan and Octavia could end up being each other’s love interest in “The 100” season 6. The fan pointed out many similarities that these characters have. For one, they both grew up and spent many years with no human interaction.
The CW has officially ordered the production of “The 100” season 6. However, the announcement of its release date could still be a longshot at the moment. But if no major delays emerge along the way, “The 100” season 6 could arrive next year.
