When it comes to niche television programs, few can rival the sheer weirdness that is “The Curse of Oak Island,” largely due to how long it has been going on. For six seasons, the Lagina brothers have come nowhere near finding the buried treasure that the show revolves around. Now that “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 has finished filming, there is the question of whether this is going to be the last or if another season is coming.
Recently, clips detailing the matter of “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 finishing its production have been giving fans of the show an idea of what they can expect, Business Times reports. As is to be expected, there is a lot of teasing with very little substance. Then again, this is exactly what the whole series is all about.
Putting aside the oddity of why this show is getting as much traction as it is despite the fact that it is providing no concrete developments with regards to the hunt, this simply can’t continue. It’s already expected that “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 is going to go similarly to how the other seasons have gone. Then again, what exactly can anyone expect?
“The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 will simply continue the brothers’ journey to supposedly finding treasure that is buried in an island despite all evidence pointing to its nonexistence. In the entire time that the show has been running, nothing remotely interesting has happened in relation to any treasure.
If “The Curse of Oak Island” Season 7 really will be the last season, it would not be that surprising. Avid viewers might be disappointed by its cancelation, but they should not be shocked by it. Either way, they will get another shot at watching more pointless digging when the season premieres this November.
