This is going to be a very important week for “The Elder Scrolls Online” players as Bethesda has announced a major unveiling event. While the video game company is still being coy about the contents of the event, it is highly anticipated to be the venue where the game’s next chapter and future DLCs would be revealed.
‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ update: ‘ESO’s Future’ will be unveiled on Jan. 16 for global fans
More details will be revealed about the future of “The Elder Scrolls Online” on Thursday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. PST. It is happening at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas, but Bethesda is no longer accepting RSVPs at this point. But those who get the chance to see the event in person can proceed to the venue as early as 12 p.m. PST.
On the bright side, fans around the world will not miss out on anything because they can witness the event through a live stream hosted on Twitch, YouTube, and other streaming platforms. The event is assured to include the next content roadmap for “The Elder Scrolls Online,” though the details of it remain under wraps until the event. In a blog post, Bethesda stated that one of the announcements would be focused on ESO’s next chapter and “year-long saga” that is most likely pertaining to the upcoming content updates throughout 2020.
“The Elder Scrolls Online” fans watching through the Amazon-owned platforms will receive rewards in the form of Twitch Drops. However, everyone else from other streaming sites can also get an in-game bonus. Once the concurrent viewers reach 80,000, players will receive the Long-Winged Bat pet and “a surprise reward inspired by community submissions” once the number goes up to 150,000.
The next chapter and upcoming DLCs of “The Elder Scrolls Online” appear to be the highlights of the event. However, Bethesda’s post implies that other announcements could be made on Thursday.
‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ next chapter: What to expect
Bethesda’s post did not mention anything about the next chapter of “The Elder Scrolls Online.” Previous teasers, however, have already revealed where the game is going next.
A trailer revealed at the Game Awards last month revealed “Dark Heart of Skyrim” that fans have been expecting to be the main theme of the 2020 content roadmap for the game. What is clear from the same preview is that ESO is finally coming to Skyrim following the unfortunate ending of the Elsweyr-based chapter, where gamers saw the demise of Abnur Tharn.
