Bethesda is joining the festive holiday season by offering up to 70 percent discounts on various “The Elder Scrolls” games and some DLCs. Even in-game purchases such as Crown Packs are also available right now with enticing bundle promos.
‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ holiday sale: Where to get discounted copies
The ongoing holiday sale from Bethesda would cater both to new gamers and those who have been playing “The Elder Scrolls Online” for a while now. Some of the discounts are applied to base games while there are also offers that would let long-time fans expand their games with DLCs.
Bethesda has “The Elder Scrolls Online” deals for players across all gaming platforms. However, specifications of the promos vary. Xbox players, for example, have to be subscribed to Xbox Live Gold services to get the best discount prices. But PC and PlayStation gamers have access to the best deals live right now.
The Standard Edition of “The Elder Scrolls Online” is currently offered for only $7.99 on Steam (for PC players) and PlayStation Store after a 60 percent price cut. Microsoft offers the same deal for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, but regular Xbox players can buy the same game with only 50 percent off the original $19.99 price tag.
The same principle applies to “The Elder Scrolls: Elsweyr” edition. On Steam and PS Store, the bundle that comes with the base game along with the Elsweyr, Morrowind, and Summerset chapters only costs $19.79 instead of $59.99. But regular Xbox players have to pay $23.99 for it.
‘The Elder Scrolls’ deals: Discounts for Crown Packs and other ‘TES’ titles now up
“The Elder Scrolls Online” players can use an in-game currency called Crowns for microtransactions. Bethesda offers bundles of Crowns that are now on sale, starting with a pack of 1,500 to 21,000. The larger the quantity, the discount gets bigger from 20 to 40 percent across all platforms as well. Note that these holiday sales are up for a limited time only.
Meanwhile, other “The Elder Scrolls” installments are also available now for major discounts through GOG. Game of the Year Editions of “TES 3: Morrowind” and “TES 4: Oblivion” are discounted by 70 percent bringing down the cost to $4.49 and $5.99, respectively. Each purchase will also add “TES 2: Daggerfall” and “TES: Arena” to the player’s GOG account for free. GOG’s Winter Sale runs until Jan. 2, 2020.
