Production for "The Flash” season 5 is expected to start very soon now that there are only a few months left before its release. And that is exactly what Danielle Panabaker and Grant Gustin implied in their recent social media posts.

Panabaker, who plays bioengineering expert Caitlin Snow a.k.a. Killer Frost, shared a photo of the Vancouver city skyline on Twitter on Wednesday. Other details are not included in her post, but it includes the caption “We’re back,” along with the hashtags that make it obvious she was referring to the start of “The Flash” season 5 production.

Grant Gustin, who plays the titular superhero in the series, also shared a photo on his Instagram page where he can be seen enjoying a day in Vancouver. Gustin also made a reference to “The Flash” season 5 in the post’s caption.

The show’s primary filming location is in Vancouver. With several main cast members already back in the city, it definitely means that the actors and crew will begin the filming of “The Flash” season 5 in the coming weeks. With this schedule, the show is still on track for its scheduled fall 2018 premiere.

Meanwhile, “The Flash” season 5 is expected to start with the characters already dealing with a huge problem. This predicament will be centered on a new character who is very dear to Barry and Iris West (Candice Patton).

Of course, plot details are still under wraps, but it was previously teased that one of “The Flash” season 5’s main arcs involves the character Nora Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy). She is no less than the daughter of Barry and Iris from the future. And just like her father, she is now facing a “big mistake” traveling to a time where she does not belong.

Executive producer Todd Helbing confirmed that Nora’s problem will be the highlighted in “The Flash” season 5. "Barry certainly learned his lessons from time travel, so now it's going to be interesting to put him on the different side of the problem and see how he can help her fix it,” Helbing told ComicBook.

Fans still have time to catch up on the latest events that happened in the show's previous episodes. “The Flash” season 5 will not air until Oct. 9 on The CW.
