Fans of “Mahoka Koko no Rettosei” or “The Irregular At Magic High School” have been waiting for almost five years now for season 2 to be released. Unfortunately, the producers and the studio in charge of making the anime series are still silent about its TV return. This lack of details simply suggests that fans will have to be more patient for “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2.
The first season of the anime, based on the manga of the same title, officially concluded in September 2014. And it took years before “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 was even confirmed.
‘The Irregular At Magic High School’ season 2 release date: 2019 premiere no longer possible
In a Crunchyroll forum, fans were surprised to see an article stating that “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 has been ordered and that J.C. Staff will be back to make the anime. That is likely because most of them have no longer expected for the franchise’s TV stint to continue, given the years-long hiatus. This is generally good news, but some might still be disappointed to know that a release date window is still unknown with almost five years of waiting since the first season ended.
What is looking very likely at this point is that there might no longer be any chance for “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 to get a 2019 premiere. Every year, the fall season is usually the time when major anime titles are released. This year the likes of “Food Wars” season 4 and “My Hero Academia” season 4 that are both confirmed to premiere in October.
Considering that there is very little information confirmed about the series created by Tsutomu Sato, it is better for fans to stop hoping for the release of “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2. Meanwhile, the year 2020 could be offering a much better chance.
‘The Irregular At Magic High School’ season 2 plot: What to expect
Even though there was not much news about “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2, fans had hope that the series will continue due to the release of the movie subtitled “The Girl Who Calls the Stars.” Since the animated film was adapted from the light novel series where the anime is also based, the second season will most likely pick up from where the movie ended that was Tatsuya and Miyuki completing their first school year.
