Nike’s Foamposite revival continues with the highly anticipated release of the Air Foamposite Pro “Wolf Grey,” featuring fully reflective uppers. Official images confirm its October 23 drop. Additionally, the Air Flightposite One “Metallic Gold” returns with a Holiday 2024 release on October 30, reviving a classic design.

Nike Revives the Foamposite Line with the Reflective Air Foamposite Pro 'Wolf Grey' Releasing October 23

Nike’s efforts to revive the Foamposite fandom are starting to take shape. Following the re-release of the iconic Royal OGs, the much-anticipated return of the Galaxy Foamposites in 2025, and special edition drops like the DMV exclusives and the Tekken 8 collaboration, Nike is employing a solid strategy to bring the Foamposite line back into the spotlight.

The Foamposite Pro, equally as crucial as Penny Hardaway’s One model, is now stepping into the limelight with the upcoming “Wolf Grey” edition, which was first confirmed nearly a year ago. A sneak peek from @jaythesneakerguy on YouTube shows this two-toned colorway showcasing reflective uppers. While there are apparent differences from previous models, the new design evokes memories of the Metallic Silver Foamposite Pros from 2008. According to Sneaker News, this edition features a cement-like finish on the grey sections, leading some to speculate that it could be a retail version of the unreleased silver pair from 1997.

Official images of the Nike Foamposite Pro “Wolf Grey” have recently been unveiled. They confirm the opposite material has a 3M finish and glows under light exposure. Aside from that detail, other specifications remain consistent. The release is scheduled for October 23, with a retail price of $230.

Nike Brings Back the Air Flightposite One 'Metallic Gold,' Set for October 30 Release

Meanwhile, Nike’s emphasis on retro footwear extends beyond Foamposites, as evidenced by the upcoming re-release of the Nike KD 4 “Galaxy” and the 90s-themed GT series during All-Star Week. Another iconic model from Nike’s archives is also returning—the Air Flightposite One.

Originally debuting in 1999, the Air Flightposite introduced blow-molded composite material in a design inspired by human anatomy. This model wasn’t limited to a specific position on the court and was famously worn by forwards and guards, including Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan. The Flightposite series continued with two more futuristic designs, though they maintained a more niche following compared to the mainstream success of the Air Foamposite One.

Designed by Eric Avar, the Air Flightposite One is confirmed to return for the Holiday 2024 season in its original “Metallic Gold” colorway. Last seen at retail in 2008, the model has remained largely dormant, lacking the casual-wear popularity of its Foamposite sibling. Official images of the “Metallic Gold” colorway have just been released, with the shoe set to drop on October 30 for $240, marking the model’s return after a 2019 release.
