Carlsbad, CA, Oct. 13, 2017 -- The Prescott Companies (TPC), an Associa company, hosted two appreciation and board member training events last month. The separate events were held at the company’s Carlsbad home office and Stone Brewery Liberty Station.
The home office event hosted more than 125 attendees, which included board members, sponsors, TPC executive team and community managers. The guests were greeted with a warm reception where they networked with industry leaders, followed by an industry update from Gloria Todisco, TPC president. The speakers included: Mike Packard, Associa senior vice president, who presented the eight golden rules for the board of directors, Steve Tinnelly of Tinnelly Law Group, who spoke about board training, as well as Kevin Canty of Riley Pasek, LLP, and Shannon Miller of Four Seasons Tree Care. Attendees also had an opportunity to participate in a raffle, with prizes including a 55” TV donated by TPC.
The Stone Brewery Liberty Station event hosted more than 100 attendees, which included board members, potential board members, sponsors, TPC executive team and community managers. After mingling with the sponsors and vendors, guests enjoyed a number of presentations. The event’s host, Associa regional vice president Rob Felix, provided an update on Associa, TPC and relevant industry issues. Dyanne Peters of Peters and Freedman, LLP and Steve Tinnelly of Tinnelly Law Group spoke on the benefits of an educated community board. A prize raffle rounded out the evening.
“The Prescott Companies understands the importance of educating our board members with the most up-to-date industry information available,” stated Gloria Todisco, TPC president. “We look forward to hosting these events each year. It allows us to provide board members with the tools they need as well as bring together industry leaders for a night of networking and fun.
