Kitt (Jane Leeves) and AJ's (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) patients should be thankful that these Chastain Park Memorial Hospital doctors are who they are in “The Resident” season 2 episode 5. Kitt and AJ may not be the best of friends or even totally friendly with each other, but they are willing to work together to stop Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood) from exercising an unethical violation in the upcoming episode.
According to the “The Resident” season 2 episode 5 synopsis, Bell commits a potentially unethical act by favoring the medical devices being sold by Julian Booth (Jenna Dewan) rather than making use of the hospital's current products. Due to this, Kitt and AJ will drop a feud that they are having to deal with Bell's indiscretion.
The “The Resident” season 2 episode 5 trailer shows a concerned Kitt talking with Bell. It looks like Bell's decision will end up creating a potential medical malpractice issue due to the equipment bought from Booth.
Another scene in the “The Resident” season 2 episode 5 trailer shows Bell being offered a large sum of money just to take the deal. Kitt's voice-over emphasizes how Bell's decision to purchase unapproved equipment is not just about his authority as an executive but that the doctors also have a say in which equipment to use, especially if the equipment will significantly affect the lives of their patients.
Fans looking forward to seeing how Kitt and AJ plan to foil Bell's little dirty purchase can catch “The Resident” season 2 episode 5 when it airs during its usual Monday schedule on Oct. 22. Hopefully, Bell sees reason and listens to Kitt and AJ rather than treat the doctors of Chastain Park Memorial simply as employees.
