“This pioneering concept blends emerging technology with engaged educators in a 21st century learning environment. It’s Socrates in a digital classroom,” states ResponsiveEd’s Chief Education Architect Alan Wimberley. “We are introducing genuine transformed education, using a digital delivery curriculum with a classical style of teaching and learning for optimal teacher to student interactions. We move the needle for results from a teaching system to learning systems designed for the student.”
The STEM Academy is a 10 million dollar project built on more than four acres of property on Bennett Lane near Corporate Drive and I-35 in Lewisville. Doors will open on the first day of school, August 28 with plans to complete construction of the adjacent gym in early fall when a ribbon-cutting event will be scheduled.
The 56,000 square-foot charter school is nearing its initial enrollment capacity of 600 students and is still accepting applications for the 2017-1018 school year. The STEM Academy is tuition-free and applicants can enroll online at stem.academy. For more information call 972.600.2901.
