The wait for “The Winds of Winter” has a lot of fans in a bind due to what feels like George R.R. Martin's media embargo on the upcoming installment ever since his last update on the book on his personal blog. Martin himself has not made any announcements about “The Winds of Winter's” status due to his focus on promoting his upcoming book, “Fire and Blood.” But it seems that fans should be looking elsewhere for news about the upcoming installment.
Enrique Corominas is known as the artist who illustrated most of the recent “A Song of Ice and Fire” book covers. Recently, Corominas posted a couple of tweets that stated he had finished illustrating a book cover for George R.R. Martin and it is not for “Fire and Blood.” Fans are now speculating if Corominas has been commissioned for, and has now finished, the book cover for “The Winds of Winter.”
Que quede entre nosotros, pero acabo de terminar una portada para un libro de @GRRMspeaking. :)

No es para Fuego y sangre. Yo nunca hablo de portadas sin spoiler.

Fans already know that George R.R. Martin's “Fire and Blood” is due to be published within a month and the book's cover has already been out ever since Martin posted about his “The Winds of Winter” status update. Considering that Martin himself stated that work on finalizing “The Winds of Winter” will commence after “Fire and Blood's” publication, there is a significant chance that the cover Corominas was teasing is definitely the upcoming installment's cover art.
While George R.R. Martin was tagged in Enrique Corominas's tweet, the “A Song of Ice and Fire” author has not responded to the artist's thread. It seems Martin is committed to not commenting about “The Winds of Winter” until “Fire and Blood” is published.
Fans who are anticipating more news about “The Winds of Winter” will just have to sit tight until Nov. 20 brings “Fire and Blood” to bookstores. Hopefully, George R.R. Martin has a “The Winds of Winter” update prepared for waiting fans once his latest book hits the market.
