U.S. President Donald Trump announced Friday that he plans to visit Turkey and make another trip to China in 2026 as part of a broader schedule of international engagements.

Speaking at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, Trump outlined several upcoming foreign visits while unveiling a Boeing 747 aircraft gifted by Qatar that will be incorporated into the Air Force One fleet. The president said his administration is preparing for multiple overseas trips in the coming months.

“We’re doing a lot of trips. We’ll be going to Turkey. We’ll be going at some point during the year back to China,” Trump told reporters during the event.

Trump also revealed that Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit the United States in September, highlighting continued diplomatic exchanges between the world’s two largest economies. According to Trump, he will later travel to China to attend a major conference scheduled to take place there.

“President Xi is coming here in September, but we’re going back for a big conference that’s in China,” Trump said.

The announcement signals ongoing efforts to maintain high-level dialogue between Washington and Beijing despite persistent tensions over trade, technology, and geopolitical issues. A future Trump visit to China could provide another opportunity for discussions on key bilateral concerns, including economic cooperation and global security matters.

Trump’s planned trip to Turkey also underscores the strategic importance of U.S.-Turkey relations. As a key NATO member and regional power, Turkey continues to play a significant role in international diplomacy, security cooperation, and regional stability.

While specific dates for the Turkey and China visits have not yet been disclosed, Trump’s remarks suggest that both trips are expected to be important components of the administration’s foreign policy agenda in 2026. Additional details regarding the travel schedule and the conference in China are likely to be announced in the coming months.
