The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled about 100 VQQQ natural gas patio heaters after warning that parts may fail and release gas, potentially causing fires or burns that seriously injure or kill users.
The Oct. 22 notice covers models VQQQ-A1 and VQQQ-001. Each heater has a bronze pole and round base beneath a silver, mushroom-shaped top. Its height adjusts from 55 inches to 78 inches, and a 24-foot gray gas hose connects to the base. Amazon.com offered the heaters at approximately $346 each between July 2024 and August 2026.
Owners should stop using a recalled heater, close the valve at the portable gas source and disconnect the hose. They can request a full refund by emailing VQQQ at vqqqrecall@163.com. Owners will be asked to mark the base “Recalled” in permanent marker, send a photo to that email address and then dispose of the heater.
The notice reported no incidents or injuries. It identifies Shanxi Yuhe Sheng Maoyi Youxian Gongsi, doing business as VQQQ, as the retailer and says the heaters were made in China.
