Donald Trump is Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, after Ted Cruz ends his campaign this week, followed by John Kasich but polls suggest he is nowhere near from beating Hillary Clinton, the favorite to become Democratic nominee.
According to polls, Hillary is leading Trump by 10% points, which means she will not only win all the states, Barrack Obama won in 2012 but North Carolina as well. She will win even in New York, home state of Mr. Trump giving her 347 seats compared to Donald Trump’s 191.
But, if Mr. Trump could just improve by 5%, it can become a tougher race, but Hillary will still win by at least 30 seats to Trump.
So, Mr. Trump will have to gain at least 6-7% points in each state to have a chance to beat Hillary Clinton.
In addition to that, Mr. Trump to wage his campaign will require lots of money, somewhere around $ 0.5-1 billion and he is way behind in fund raising.
Hillary Clinton has so far raised $262.7 million and likely to raise a lot more, once she gets elected as presidential nominee. In contrast, Trump just raised $51.4 million.
Improvements on policies and others we will discuss over subsequent posts.
