While Clinton is the likely winner of last night’s first Presidential debate, a traveling Trump rallying in many inner cities has damaged the Clinton fortress in key swing states. Good days for the Clinton camp were back in August when the RCP electoral map was projecting 272 electorates for Clinton and only 154 for Trump, while rest 112 were considered as swing and could go to anyone.
Since then, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New Hampshire, Michigan, Colorado, Maine, and Minnesota have moved from Clinton fort to the category called battleground states or the swing states. At the same time, states like Maine CD2, Missouri have joined the Trump fort.
Latest RCP electoral map suggests, Clinton to have supports of 188 electorates, while Trump is assured of 165 and 185 electorates are under battleground category.
In addition to that, Among the 15 key battleground state, Trump is leading in Iowa, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, North Carolina, and in Ohio. Clinton has solid lead (above 3) in Maine, New Hampshire, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Michigan. She is marginally leading in Florida. What surprising is and should be a major concern for the Clinton camp that her lead in Pennsylvania, which offers 20 electorates has dropped from 10 points a month ago to just 1.8 points.
