US Election Series: Polls turns in favor of Trump after Cleveland convention

New York business tycoon Donald Trump’s image seems to be somewhat changed after the Republican Party’s convention in Cleveland, where he formally accepted the nomination on Thursday and marked the end of the convention.

Regional Polls:

  • A two-way poll by Mitchell Research on Friday shows that Hillary Clinton is leading Trump by 6 points in Michigan.
  • A three-way poll by Landmark on Saturday shows, Trump is leading Clinton by 2 points in Georgia.
  • A two-way poll by KTNV on Saturday shows that Donald Trump is leading Hillary by 5 points in Nevada.
  • A three-way poll by PPP (D) on Saturday shows, Trump is leading Clinton by 3 points in Ohio but a tie in case of two-way.

National Polls:

  • Five two way national polls, conducted by Gravis, CNN, CBS, LA Times, and Economist released since Saturday show that Trump is leading in four of them with a maximum lead of 4 points. One poll shows that Hillary is leading by 5 points.
  • Three three-way polls conducted by CNN, Economist, CBS show Trump is leading in two with a maximum lead of 5 points and Clinton is leading in one by 2 points.

Two-way polls are conducted as Trump vs. Hillary, whereas Three-way polls are conducted as Trump vs. Hillary vs. Gary Johnson.
