Ukraine’s latest official estimate puts Russian personnel losses above 1.6 million through Nov. 7, with the daily update adding 2,280 for the previous day and leaving the makeup of the total unspecified.

Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence said the General Staff’s cumulative count stood at 1,604,110 from Feb. 24, 2022, through Nov. 7, 2026. The update assigned 2,280 personnel losses to Nov. 6 and labels its totals estimates.

That is 4,720 above the 1,599,390 figure for Nov. 5 in EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of Ukraine’s running estimate.

The Nov. 7 release does not define “personnel losses” or say how many in the total were killed, wounded or missing. It does not establish a death toll.

CSIS put Russian battlefield casualties at about 1.4 million between February 2022 and June 2026, counting killed, wounded and missing. That estimate covers an earlier period and uses categories the Ukrainian release does not specify, so it does not independently confirm the later Ukrainian tally.
