- U.S. Steel performed approximately 89% better than its peers when compared to the serious injury cases for the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) for Iron and Steel, in 2016, the most recent year for which BLS data is available.
- The company is focused on fostering a high-performance culture characterized by accountability, fairness, respect and adherence to the highest ethical standards.
- The company's inaugural Inclusion Survey provided direct feedback on opportunities to strengthen its culture around diversity and inclusion. Future surveys will allow the company to track progress and make adjustments so that employees continue to feel valued, respected and safe.
