The Utah Jazz has inked a multi-year partnership designating American Express as its official payments partner for NBA games and all events at its 18,206-seat Vivint Arena venue.
A technological element of the partnership will see a new American Express-powered concession open at Vivint Arena in 2023, offering a checkout-free service for cardholders.
American Express cardholders will also be given presale access to Jazz merchandise and match tickets, seat upgrade options, as well as two dedicated entrances at the arena.
Additionally, American Express will also gain a package of signage at the venue, as well as across the Jazz’s digital platforms.
According to Chris Barney, the Jazz's chief commercial officer, the partnership with American Express allows them to create unique opportunities and unforgettable experiences that far exceed fans’ expectations while attending live sports and entertainment events.
Shiz Suzuki, American Express vice president of global brand sponsorships and experiential marketing, added that the partnership will showcase to the Utah market and its visitors how sports, music, and entertainment is better with American Express.
