It’ll be a long wait before “Vikings” season 6 episode 11 will arrive on the small screen. After its midseason finale, which aired on February 5, the show is currently on a ten-month hiatus and won’t be back until December this year.
Bjorn might not last long
The “Vikings” season 6 episode 10’s ending had fans worried for Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) who seemed to be lifeless after the battle ended. But a trailer released for the upcoming episode gave them hope that he might still be alive.
“I told you Ivar, you can’t kill him,” Hvitserk (Marco Ilso) told his brother. “That’s impossible,” was Ivar’s response as he looks perplexed at how his brother might have evaded death.
“By the way, he’s not dead yet,” creator Michael Hirst confirmed that Bjorn is still alive. “Honestly, Episode 11 will just knock your socks off. It’s so powerful. And it’s just brilliant for Alexander and in a way that’s what I wanted.”
However, it appears that he might not live for long based on Hirst statements. There are speculations that Bjorn might even meet his demise in “Vikings” season 6 episode 11.
“I sort of knew which characters would survive,” Hirst said. “But I felt I knew that Bjorn would die. So then it was a question of when, and I talked to Alexander about it.”
Fans argue Bjorn might last beyond episode 11
Some fans, however, argue that Bjorn isn’t likely to die in “Vikings” season 6 episode 11 just yet. This theory is based on what the Seer (John Kavanagh) prophesied about the character.
“Why would they kill Bjorn in season 6B debut, the Seer told him in season 5 finale he’s gonna achieve more than Ragnar did,” Twitter user Runriko123 wrote as reported by Express. “And yet so far he hasn’t done anything that would go as far as a great achievement.”
Others also believe that the stabbing scene did not actually happen but was just a vision. “I believe Ivar stabbing Bjorn was a vision basically showing that Ivar had defeated Bjorn in this battle,” Mikeymikeyh wrote.
‘Vikings’ season 6 episode 11 release date will be on December 4, 2020, according to Express. Stay tuned for more updates.
