For only $1, customers can get a whole year’s worth of unlimited wireless internet from Virgin Mobile if they act on the limited time offer by the carrier. The only catch is that customers need to own an iPhone to avail of the service. If this condition has been fulfilled, all they need to do is go to the carrier, have their numbers transferred to what the company calls its “Inner Circle” plan and that’s done.
Since smaller mobile carrier can’t exactly compete with bigger companies on the sheer number of users, it only makes sense that they would turn to better, almost hilariously beneficial deals to attract customers. In the case of Virgin Mobile, it is trying to set itself apart by being a solely Apple-centric carrier that also offers really good plans. With this new scheme, customers would only be paying $601 for the two-year plan, PC Mag reports.
Just to clarify what this new offer can do for customers, it basically amounts to just $1 for the whole first year of the contract. After that, customers will be paying $50 a month for the second year. This comes with unlimited mobile data, texts, and calls. Anyone who looks at this deal will conclude that as offers go, it’s a hugely beneficial one.
Virgin Mobile also further hammers the point of costs home by pointing out that with other, bigger carriers, the total costs of data plans could amount to as much as $1,800 for two years. In comparison, this limited-time offer would shave $1,199 while still providing the same or even better services.
Also, just so there’s no confusion, customers don’t need to buy a new iPhone to get this service, The Verge reports. Their existing units are already enough to qualify them for the plan, provided the device can actually use LTE/4G connectivity.
