2K confirmed the official launch event for "WWE 2K19," which will be held in the UAE on Thursday, October 4, at 7 p.m. at The Galleria in City Centre Mirdif, Dubai. One of the WWE celebrities that will join the launch of the highly anticipated video game is none other than WWE Legend Rey Mysterio.
Fans are allowed to visit the "WWE 2K19" stand in City Centre Mirdif when the mall opens on Oct. 4. They have a chance to play the game before everyone else.
Of course, Rey Misterio's character returns to virtual WWE action as a pre-order bonus playable character alongside WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey in "WWE 2K19." Misterio will appear in WWE 2K19 wearing ring gear, which he wore in the 2018 Royal Rumble Match.
"WWE 2K19" is rated PEGI 16 and NMC 16. Fox Sports Asia reported that this game will be available on Tuesday, Oct. 9, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One family of devices, including the Xbox One X. Sadly for Nintendo Switch users, this year's edition will be skipping console because of problems from frame rate issues to resolution dropping down to 540p, even in docked mode.
Not only Rey Misterio and Rousey are the playable characters in "WWE 2K19." According to GameSpot, the total playable wrestlers in the game is 200, total new characters to the series is 40, Raw Superstars, 50, Smackdown Superstars, 50, Legends, 54, NXT Supers Stars, 28, 205 live: Superstars, 12, Men's division, 159, and Women's division, 41.
2K also brings back Showcase Mode for "WWE 2K19." So fans of Daniel Bryan, you better watch out as this mode follows the career of the superstar. The game also follows his first match as Bryan Danielson to his feuds with The Miz.
