NEW YORK & LONDON, Sept. 14, 2016 -- Bringing to life the untold stories of Wall Street, the new podcast Wall & Broadcast officially launches today on TabbFORUM, the global capital markets site created for peer-to-peer thought leadership on current industry issues. Co-hosted by TABB Group COO Alex Tabb and Forbes contributor and CEO of Vested Dan Simon, the podcast will release new episodes every two weeks with the goal of engaging its audience with compelling and unique anecdotes that shed light on this usually veiled world.
“Much of the industry, TabbFORUM included, is very serious about the day-to-day of the capital markets and can take for granted the interesting narrative within,” says Tabb. “Yes, we want to educate our listeners on the inner workings of today’s pressing market topics, but we also want to entertain and connect through the human side of the industry.”
The inaugural episode of the podcast is now available for download and resurfaces the age-old question of its aptly given title: “Are the Markets Rigged?” Simon and Tabb, alongside executive producer Anna Stumpf, talk to experts on both sides of the debate in an effort to empower listeners to inform their own opinion on the topic. A sampling of additional episodes that will be featured in season one of Wall & Broadcast, which is sponsored by KCG Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:KCG), include:
- “Currency at the Edges” – We look inside a state penitentiary where a secret currency has taken hold and visit a country with a failed national currency to understand how people react when currencies fail or are not allowed to exist.
- “The Unbanked: Deconstructing the USA’s Financial Deserts” – The unbanked represent an enormous growth market in the U.S. What can be done to fill the service void for people without access to traditional banking services while keeping predatory lenders in check?
- “Wall Street and the Movies” – What’s your favorite Wall Street movie? We highlight our favorites and talk with the experts who actually lived the lives projected on the big screen.
“Wall & Broadcast is inspired in name by the corner where New York City’s Wall and Broad Streets meet, widely recognized as the heart of the Financial District,” Simon explains. “We purposefully chose this name to also capture the mission of our show, which is to bring unique and expert knowledge of Wall Street tales to a broader audience. From prison economics to debunking myths on Wall Street cinema, that is exactly what Season one of the show will bring.”
Listeners can subscribe to Wall & Broadcast through iTunes and Stitcher and can stream the show directly at both TabbFORUM and www.wallandbroadcast.com.
