Walmart and Netflix Inc. are collaborating for a new agreement that will expand the popular in-store “Netflix Hub” outlets that sell merchandise, streaming gift cards, exclusive items of hit shows, and more. The companies will roll out more than 2,400 stores to offer great deals to customers as the holidays approach.
Walmart is preparing for the most festive and busiest season of the year, and it wants to give more to its customers while generating sales at the same time. Thus, it has tapped Netflix for a new partnership.
Moreover, the Bentonville, Arkansas-headquartered retail giant, has many special partnerships, and this holiday season, Walmart decided to work further with Netflix to install more Netflix Hubs in its locations.
Customers will be seeing more of the streaming company’s storefronts in Walmart, where they can avail of exclusive offerings such as low-priced streaming gift cards and various merchandise featuring Netflix’s popular titles. The Netflix Hub will be a haven for fans since they can also find many items that they can use, give as gifts or add to their collection if they are avid collectors of special merchandise featuring shows such as “Stranger Things.”
As per Fox9 News, customers can only find these products on Netflix Hub in Walmart stores. The gift cards are for paying subscription fees instead of a credit or debit card linked to the Netflix account. It was mentioned that curated concession kits with popcorn would also be sold in the hubs.
“The Hub promises to bring fans closer to the shows and movies they love,” Walmart US’ vice president of content and digital, Frank Barbieri, said in a press release. “Starting today, Walmart customers will find even more music, apparel, collectibles, games and seasonal items from all their favorite shows and films including ‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Squid Game,’ ‘The Witcher,’ ‘Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio,’ ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.’ and more.”
Barbieri added, “Walmart is delighted to announce the expansion of our popular digital storefront, The Netflix Hub, into 2,400+ Walmart stores with a new Netflix Streaming Gift Card, only at Walmart.”
