Wendy’s fall menu is stirring reactions with its limited-time Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger and Salted Caramel Frosty. While some fans eagerly embrace the seasonal flavors, others express reservations, particularly about the mushroom-infused burger. The new items debut at participating U.S. locations starting November 12.
Wendy’s Salted Caramel Frosty Wins Fans, While Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger Sparks Debate
Wendy’s is embracing the fall season with a fresh menu lineup that’s already stirring opinions among fans. The popular fast-food chain recently announced it would be debuting a new Frosty flavor, marking the transition from its limited-edition Pineapple Under the Sea soft serve, which was introduced in October as part of a special SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired meal.
The new salted caramel Frosting flavor has garnered immediate enthusiasm from customers, who seem willing to forgo Wendy’s classic vanilla treat in favor of the seasonal option. Meanwhile, a savory menu addition generates a more polarized response.
According to Parade, Wendy’s is introducing a Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger this November, available for a limited time at participating locations nationwide. The company describes the new item as a “comfort food experience like no other cheeseburger. " The new item features “savory roasted mushrooms, crispy bacon, Muenster cheese, and creamy garlic spread atop Wendy’s fresh, never frozen beef.”
Mixed Reactions Flood Social Media as Wendy’s Unveils Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger
Food blogger Snackolator shared the announcement on Instagram, where reactions varied widely. Many followers expressed excitement, calling the burger a “need” and another remarking, “I’ve never had a Wendy’s burger before, but this one sounds good. I love mushrooms.” One fan, reminiscing about a similar item, commented, “Checkers used to have a burger like this, and I’d get it once a week.”
However, the response could have been more unanimous. Several followers voiced reservations, with some suggesting Wendy’s “keep” the burger. “Eugh,” one follower bluntly commented, while another joked, “Remove the mushrooms, and we’re good.” Another firmly stated, “Nobody asks for mushrooms on their burgers.”
Regardless of the debate, Wendy’s new fall items will be available at participating U.S. locations on or around November 12.
