Fans want to see “Westworld” season 3 now but, unfortunately, it may take a while before it can be released. As compensation for the long wait, showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy promised a well-made series that will surprise everyone.
Plot
One of the things that Jonathan and wife Lisa Joy promised “Westworld” fans is that big changes are coming to the series. For starters, the plot will be very different from what the viewers have come to know.
Regarding the changes, the showrunners revealed to The Hollywood Reporter, “It's a radical shift. What's compelling and appealing about these characters is that they're not human.”
Jonathan added, “The hosts have a different version of mortality, a different outlook. They're existential. They span eons. And that's a fascinating level of story to engage in.”
Likewise, as Bernard and Dolores leave the Westworld-themed park, they will start a new adventure in a new place that they have not explored yet, and from the new location alone, many things could happen to them. In sum, Lisa Joy stated that “Westworld” season 3 will be like another story because of the drama it will feature, the different environment, the storyline and more.
Cast
Although “Westworld” season 3 will present a very different story, most of its cast members are still in the lineup. They include Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores Abernathy), Ed Harris (Man in Black), Thandie Newton (Maeve Millay), Tessa Thompson (Charlotte Hale), Jeffrey (Wright Bernard Lowe), Jimmi Simpson (William) and James Marsden (Teddy Flood).
Aside from the familiar faces, Deadline reported that a new actor has been confirmed to join “Westworld” season 3. “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul will be in the third installment as a series regular. However, his role is still a mystery.
Air Date
“Westworld” season 3 has no premiere date yet but based on predictions, it can arrive in early 2020. Nolan and Lisa Joy also previously stated that they are not in a rush to finish the project because they are putting more importance on the show’s quality.
