When season 2 ended, the wild west-themed Delos Park was completely ruined, and Dolores (Rachel Evan Wood) led a group of hosts into the real world. That hints at “Westworld” season 3 finally giving fans the chance to see how the environment looks like beyond the infamous Delos Park.
It is very likely that some of the important scenes are going to take place in the real world. The place has been previewed in the first official “Westworld” season 3 trailer. Not surprisingly, it is a very modern city filled with high-tech gadgets, very futuristic drones, and robots.
A rumor recently circulated that “Westworld” season 3 will have on-location filming in Singapore following a local talent agency’s casting call. Fly Entertainment announced that an HBO production would take place on July 1-9. An official rep of HBO told Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore on Wednesday, “Filming locations for the third season of the HBO drama series ‘Westworld’ will include Singapore.”
HBO is known for being over-protective of the plot of its upcoming shows. However, the trailer of “Westworld” season 3 already featured the Singapore skyline, which was confirmed by an eagle-eyed Reddit user. This is likely the reason why the cable network did not hesitate to set the rumors to rest.
Many are expecting Delos to rebuild the Park, but it is also very possible for “Westworld” season 3 to feature many scenes in the real world. Dolores, Bernard (Jeff Wright), and “Charlotte Hale” (Tessa Thompson) are some of the remaining main characters, and they are all headed to the real world. Meanwhile, some high-profile new cast members such as Aaron Paul and Lena Waithe are also confirmed to be living in the real world though it remains a mystery whether the newcomers are hosts or humans.
The trailer has also confirmed that Dolores and Paul’s character will meet. But the kind of relationship they will have in “Westworld” season 3 is still a mystery. Unfortunately, fans will still have to wait a long time to see the third season as it is not slated to premiere until 2020.
