NEW YORK, March 29, 2016 -- WisdomTree Investments, Inc. (NASDAQ:WETF), an exchange-traded fund (“ETF”) and exchange-traded product (“ETP”) sponsor and asset manager, today announced the appointment of Joseph Grogan as Head of U.S. Institutional Distribution. Mr. Grogan joins WisdomTree from State Street Global Advisors, Inc. (SSgA) where he was Managing Director and Head of Northeast, Institutional Client Group. Mr. Grogan will be responsible for extending and enhancing relationships with current and potential institutional investors in the U.S. Moreover, he will oversee the development of key market segments of institutional prospects and clients, including endowments and foundations, public and corporate pensions, asset managers and investment consultants.
As the Managing Director and Head of Northeast, Institutional Client Group at SSgA, Mr. Grogan led the business development and relationship management team focused on Corporate and Public DB/DC plans, Endowment/Foundations, Taft-Hartley and Strategic Family Offices. Mr. Grogan was also a member of SSgA’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), serving as a key stakeholder of several separate corporate strategy steering committees.

Prior to SSgA, Mr. Grogan was with Fidelity Investments, where he served as Senior Vice President, Pyramis Global Advisors from 2011-2013, responsible for the business development of Pyramis Global Advisor’s institutional asset management strategies, products and services throughout the eastern United States. From 2006-2011, Mr. Grogan served as Vice President, Institutional Wealth Services, where he promoted Fidelity’s institutional investment platforms to large financial intermediaries on a national level. Mr. Grogan received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Boston College.
