| WHAT: | Youth INC, a venture philanthropy nonprofit that transforms the lives of NYC kids by empowering the |
| | nonprofits that serve them, will release the findings of a new study on what "best practices" can benefit |
| | young people at its 3rd Annual Partner Network Convening. This evening’s discussion will feature: |
| | |
| | Keisha Smith-Jeremie, Chief Human Resources Officer, News Corp Dr. David Kirkland, Professor of Urban Education, New York University

| | The discussion will include firsthand insights from the "The Art and Science of Creating Effective Youth |
| | Programs" study created in collaboration with News Corp, Youth INC, and Algorhythm. The convening |
| | will also feature a guest panel of NYC youth, leaders from the Office of the Mayor, the Nonprofit |
| | Coordinating Committee of New York, and the CUNY School of Professional Studies. |

| WHY: | Through surveying 27 organizations, 80 programs and more than 3,000 youth nationwide, we have |
| | identified the programmatic practices that lead to SEL outcome gains for youth, at more than twice the |
| | rate of other organizations and programs within the system. |
