Christopher Dancy s the Harold and Inge Marcus Industrial and Manufacturing Career Development Associate Professor. Dancy is affiliated with both the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering and a doctorate in information sciences and technology, both from Penn State. Most recently, he was an associate professor of computer science at Bucknell University. Dancy leads the Human in Computation and Cognition (THiCC) Lab at Penn State.
His research focuses on the ways people interact with artificial intelligence systems, with a more recent emphasis on how those interactions are mediated by antiblackness.
