iCIMS has poured considerable investments into building out its Labs (technology) organization, with plans to grow the team by 25 percent this year. iCIMS began building its Design Lab in 2015, which is comprised of UX researchers, architects, developers and designers who support front- and back-end user experiences and interfaces.
Within the latest round of enhancements, iCIMS career portals present an even simpler application experience across all devices, and now offer better candidate visibility into the process – eliminating the “black hole” traditionally associated with recruitment. To provide a more visually appealing user experience and improve readability, the iCIMS platform dashboard now features adjusted colors, fonts, icons, widgets and spacing. In addition, iCIMS is making ongoing investments into the hiring manager experience including an updated Android mobile application.
“Recruiting is a dynamic and complex process and we’re committed to further simplifying the user experience for job seekers, HR professionals, and their hiring manager partners,” said Al Smith, chief technology officer at iCIMS. “These recent investments serve as proof points regarding our ongoing commitment to improve the hands-on experience for employers and the candidates they seek to find, attract and hire. Providing a great user experience can be the difference between attracting top talent and inadvertently pushing applicants away, which is why we’ve applied considerable resources into our product suite. Thanks to a simplified career portal experience, our platform has captured roughly 900,000 more applications compared to this time last year, connecting more talented candidates with great hiring companies,” concluded Smith.
The company plans to release additional user experience enhancements this year, including compelling, easy analytics, new candidate search features, and new user-friendly interview management capabilities.
