New changes to the iOS 12 are heavily focused on messaging and FaceTime, while Apple improved Siri’s intelligence to make iOS users’ experience easier and more enjoyable. To start, FaceTime has been given an upgrade and the videotelephony can now support up to 32 people in one call, Mac Rumors reported.
What’s more, the video application also received an update where those who are speaking during a group call take on a prominent window similar to Google Hangouts. For the iOS 12 update, the iPhone X has new Animoji characters and a new “Memoji,” which allows people to customize an Animoji to mirror their faces or any other face for that matter.
The newly created Memoji can then be used during messages and on FaceTime. Both messages and FaceTime also received fun new camera effects from the iOS 12 update, enhancing the effects of video calls and other quirky third-party stickers.
For people who are monitoring the financial market, the iOS 12 has been given a shortcut button that will allow users to receive notifications on the latest news in this particular industry. Of course, other news can be monitored as well such as the crypto market and other important issues followed by a user.
The iOS 12 also features time management and monitoring tools with Screen Time, enabling users to see which app they spend most of their time on. This is quite important for those who want to cut down on using their iPhones and parents can also monitor if their child has been heavily using the device.
As for the map application, the iOS 12 gives users a more detailed real-time update on what’s happening in a particular area. Traffic, road conditions, construction, and more are now visible on this app. Even pools, foliage, buildings, pedestrian roads, and other details have been included as well.
