Apple did not disappoint its fanbase with the announcement of the iPad Pro 2018 series. The Face ID tech was finally added to the new lineup of tablets from the Cupertino, California-based company. This means the physical home button is gone and the bezels on the new tablets are much thinner.
However, with the addition of new tech and a sleek design, customers should expect prices to go up for the iPad Pro 2018. Luckily, major telecommunication companies in the United States are most likely going to offer payment plans for the Wi-Fi + cellular connectivity models of the iPad Pro 2018.
Digital Trends reports that, at the moment, Verizon is the only telco that has already announced its offers for the iPad Pro 2018 series. However, other major companies are expected to come up with their own installment offers as well.
Telcos’ pricing for the cellular-enabled models of the iPad Pro 2018 is most likely not different from Apple’s. The 11-inch 64GB variant costs $949 while the 12.9-inch 64GB model is available at $1,149.
As of this writing, Verizon’s website does not have the iPad Pro 2018 lineup yet. But the company will reportedly start accepting pre-orders by Nov. 1 while in-store purchases will be available by Nov. 7.
Verizon will offer a two-year contract for installment payment plans. So customers can get the 11-inch iPad Pro 2018 with 64GB for $39.58/month and its 12.9-inch counterpart for $47.91/month, the Digital Trends report said.
The websites of T-Mobile and Sprint also have lists of earlier models of iPad Pro at the moment. Both companies have a 24-month lock-in agreement bundled with their wireless services and the customers can take home their new tablet after paying a small cash-out fee. The same offers are most likely going to be available for the iPad Pro 2018 models as well.
Pre-orders are being accepted via the official Apple website since the iPad Pro 2018 announcement. But deliveries and in-store availability are also due on Nov. 7. Meanwhile, Apple fans with a Barclaycard can also avail of an 18-month device payment plan directly via apple.com.
