“Alaskan Bush People” season 8 is coming back after a difficult year. In July 2017, Ami Brown was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and it was the aggressive type, so prognosis was bad.
The Brown family left their Alaskan bush and had the Brown matriarch treated at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. The family often gives updates about her health condition as fans also want to know how Ami is doing.
Once, Radar Online reported that she was already on her “deathbed” and had a 3 percent survival rate. But miraculously, she survived despite the fact that she looked really worn out in her post-treatment photos.
In January, it was announced that Ami Brown was now in remission. However, it appears that the family has no plans of returning to the bush after spending so much time in the city. They were rumored to be relocating and this was later confirmed when Billy bought a property in Washington, as per EconoTimes.
In any case, Discovery Channel announced that “Alaskan Bush People” season 8 is set to return on Sunday, Aug. 19, at 9 p.m. The brand-new season will focus on the Brown family’s life as they move on from their mother’s year-long battle with cancer.
Then again, the fans won’t be seeing the Brown family in their old Brown Town. They will not be going back to the Alaskan wilderness but will settle in Washington instead, People reported.
In the latest sneak preview of “Alaskan Bush People” season 8, Billy Brown tells the viewers, “We’ve gone through a lot of adversity. It was like everything was closing in on us, darkness all around and it was over. Then, Washington came into view.”
He added the place is made for them because it has an orchard, barns, cattle, and horses. The Brown patriarch went on to say that with Ami beating cancer and the family moving to a new place, it was “like being born again and starting a new life.”
“Alaskan Bush People” season 8 is returning with Billy, Ami and children Matt, Bam Bam, Noah, Bear, Gabe, Bird and Rain. Watch the sneak peek for “Alaskan Bush People” season 8 below:
