“Big Mouth” season 2 will be back on Netflix soon and it will return with more funny stories. The animated series debuted just last fall and many viewers found it as one of the best shows last year.
Now, the John Mulaney and Nick Kroll sitcom is ready to roll again and fans are very excited since they waited for almost a year for its return.
What Is It All About?
“Big Mouth” season 2 will be a follow-up to the story about 7th grader teens who are facing various emotions and issues as they enter puberty. The Hormone Monsters are back to get the youngsters.
The plot is mainly about how the young people go through drastic changes while growing up. It will bring them to self-discovery, sex education classes and discussions about raging hormones.
“Big Mouth” season 2 promises to bring more hilarity as the teeners deal with the awkward horrors of puberty that come with the emotional baggage of developing bodies and more.
Polygon noted that although the show was quite underrated when it was first released, it is actually worth watching out for. “Big Mouth turns those scary moments of uncertainty into literal monsters that only the affected tween can see,” the publication stated. “Big Mouth gives its characters an entity to point to and blame for all of life’s mishaps; by shaping puberty as an unrelenting gargoyle, Big Mouth reinvigorates one of television’s most well-worn topics.”
Cast
“Big Mouth” season 2 will retain its cast, which includes Nick Kroll (Nick), John Mulaney (Andrew), Maya Rudolph (Diane Birch), Jason Mantzoukas (Jay Bilzerian), Jordan Peele (The Ghost of Duke Ellington), Fred Armisen (Elliot Birch), Jenny Slate (Missy) and Jessi Klein (Jessi Glaser).
As Deadline reported, “Jane the Virgin” star Gina Rodriguez and “Harry Potter’s” David Thewlis have joined the animated sitcom. The latter will take on the role of The Shame Wizard who haunts that teens by shaming them, and Gina will be the first girl in school to have developed breasts.
Air Date and Episodes
“Big Mouth” season 2 is set to return on Oct. 5 via Netflix. There will be 10 episodes for this run. Check out the preview below.
