The last few episodes of “Boruto” were about Chocho Akimichi, but those episodes are done now. With “Boruto” Episode 70, it seems that a large part of the focus will be on Metal Lee. As the son of Rock Lee, there is a lot of pressure for Metal to live up to his father’s legendary status as a taijutsu user. However, he seems to suffer from confidence issues. This is where Might Guy will come in to help him out.
As Otaku Art notes, Metal tends to suffer from issues with his nerves, which prevents him from making the most of his fighting abilities. He is an excellent taijutsu user, but he simply doesn’t seem to have the strength of character that Rock Lee did to bring out his true potential. In “Boruto” Episode 70, Metal suffers a setback that makes him frustrated, thus resulting in the necessity to change things up.
This is why Rock Lee will advise his son to stop his training for now and visit his old mentor, Might Guy, Toribaze notes. As the premiere taijutsu user of his generation, Might is exactly the person that Metal needs to overcome his struggles. In “Boruto” Episode 70, fans will see yet another example of the wisdom that comes from someone as obsessed with the spring of youth as Might.
As main storyline episodes go, this is likely not going to move the plot along very far. However, the events in “Boruto” Episode 70 might play a role in shaping events in the story later on. After all, it’s clear that Metal is going to be one of the most significant characters in the anime aside from Boruto and his teammates.
It’s likely that Rock Lee’s son is going to play a pivotal part in the battles to come. This is why fans will want to watch “Boruto” Episode 70 when it airs on Aug. 23.
