Aside from a deep bench of massively popular IPs, CD Projekt Red also owns the digital video game distribution service GOG.com. And thanks to this fact, the developers can offer a great deal in buying "Cyberpunk 2077."
‘Cyberpunk 2077’ deals: CD Projekt Red launches Ultimate RED Collection for GOG’s 2019 Winter Sale
GOG also holds an annual Winter Sale. For CDPR's platform, the promos have started last week and will continue through early January 2020. What makes this stand out is the offer of Ultimate RED Collection, where fans can buy "Cyberpunk 2077" and "The Witcher" trilogy for a bundled price.
The collection retails for $87.77 with the base game of “Cyberpunk 2077” as the banner offer. As the promo’s name suggests, the bundle consists of CDPR’s most popular IPs. Aside from the upcoming game, the collection also comes with copies of the following games: “The Witcher Adventure Game,” “The Witcher: Enhanced Edition,” “The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings Enhanced Edition,” “Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales,” and “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game of the Year Edition.”
Most offers included in the GOG Winter Sale are available until Jan. 2, 2020. However, the Ultimate RED Collection with “Cyberpunk 2077” is only on sale until Dec. 27, at 10 a.m. EST.
‘Cyberpunk 2077’ promo: Should players buy the Ultimate RED Collection?
At first glance, the Ultimate RED Collection appears to be a very enticing promo. However, like most things in life, this promo might not be the best purchase for some video game fans.
Some of the titles included in the bundle were released over a decade ago. Avid CDPR fans have likely purchased these “The Witcher” games the first time they were released, making the collection seem exorbitant for certain people.
Even if gamers do not have the mentioned “The Witcher” games yet, the collection may still not be the best option, especially if they plan on building their CDPR library during the Winter Sale. Upon further inspection, people can save a couple more bucks if they purchase these titles separately.
All the games in the collection, except “Cyberpunk 2077,” are individually on sale with as much as 85 percent discount. Buying all “The Witcher” titles and “Cyberpunk 2077” separately during the Winter Sale would only amount to $85.94.
On a regular day, however, there is no denying that the Ultimate RED Collection really is a steal. Note that the “Cyberpunk 2077” purchase counts as a pre-order as the game will not be released until April 16, 2020.
