Now that the nasty spiders have been taken care of, it’s off to the next adventure for Team TARDIS in “Doctor Who” Season 11 Episode 5. According to the official synopsis for the episode, the 13th Time Lord (Jodie Whittaker) and her trusty sidekicks Yaz (Mandip Gill), Graham (Bradley Walsh), and Ryan (Tosin Cole) are going to find themselves stranded in space this time.
Titled “The Tsuranga Conundrum,” the episode will feature Team TARDIS forming an alliance with a group of strangers as they deal with a mysterious adversary. Aside from that, the trailer and synopsis don’t really give away much in terms of plot details, but this will likely be another thrilling episode.
In other news, Inverse’s Corey Plante has come up with an interesting theory that Yaz may end up being the 13th Doctor’s romantic interest. That should surprise a lot of fans because a Yaz and Ryan romance has been hinted in the past few episodes. However, Yaz acted rather strange in last Sunday’s episode and Plante’s isn’t the only one who is wondering if Yaz is bisexual.
“In Sunday night’s 'Arachnids in the UK' — which also introduced us to Yaz’s family — we got the first inkling that Yasmin’s fascination with the Doctor as a brilliant alien might be developing into something more romantic,” Plante said. “In the episode’s first scene with the Doctor and her new friends, during an awkward goodbye, Yaz is the first one to invite the Doctor to tea at her place. She does politely extend the invitation to Ryan and Graham as well, but even Ryan notes that they weren’t invited at first.”
“Doctor Who” Season 11 Episode 5 is scheduled to air on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. GMT on BBC One. Suzanne Packer, Brett Goldstein, Ben Bailey Smith, and Lois Chimimba will guest star in the episode.
