“Dr. Stone” Chapter 79 is looking to create more disparity in principles between Hyouga and Tsukasa. So far, Tsukasa seems to be the more reasonable of the two, while Hyouga is hinted to be the sort of individual whose loyalty lies only in self-interest, OtakuKart reported.
And while he does display loyalty to the cause of Tsukasa, Hyouga seems to be only sticking around in order to achieve his own goals. Hyouga’s allegiance will probably start crumbling in “Dr. Stone” Chapter 79 since Tsukasa’s empire is nearing its end.
Indeed, even the subjects of Tsukasa aren’t too fond of how he runs things in general. With his violent and erratic behavior, it’s safe to assume that it will be easy for Senku to convince the populace to not resist the upcoming conflict in “Dr. Stone” Chapter 79.
Looking at it with a different lens, however, it is easy to understand why Tsukasa believes in the things he does. Manga creator Riichiro Inagaki is portraying the character as someone who is twisted, although he could very well be interpreted as an individual who is approaching a problem from a different angle. Whatever the case, Tsukasa is likely going to lose his empire in “Dr. Stone” Chapter 79 and it’ll be interesting to see how the character develops following this conclusion.
One of the most obvious routes that Inagaki can take is to have Tsukasa slowly transition to the side of Senku, especially since he has a little sister who is in desperate need of medical attention. And with Senku trying to revive humanity with science, this might very well be the case moving forward. As for Hyouga, “Dr. Stone” Chapter 79 will probably shape the character as the main antagonist of the series.
The previous chapter already hinted at this regard if Hyouga’s reaction to the paper plane dynamite is anything to go by. “Dr. Stone” Chapter 79 is going to be released on Oct. 22 and will further shed some light on what direction the plot is taking.
