The ongoing story arc has been primarily about the rivalry between Senku and Xeno, and it is going to reach new heights in “Dr. Stone” chapter 164. They engage in an aerial battle with Ryusui facing off with Stanley.
‘Dr. Stone’ chapter 164 marks the start of another face-off between Senku and Xeno’s groups
Just as the last chapter hinted, the Kingdom of Science is taking a stand against Xeno’s empire. Manga readers last saw the Kingdom of Science successfully acquiring a plane and an aircraft carrier. Senku has also fully recovered and is Ryusui’s passenger on their way to attack in “Dr. Stone” chapter 164.
As usual, there is not much leaked scans from “Dr. Stone” chapter 164. But after some online search, fans will be able to find a photo of the cover page revealing that the upcoming chapter is titled “Re-lock On.” Right above the title text, two opposing planes can be seen and it appears that the one Ryusui and Senku are riding in is smaller than the potential aerial transport that Xeno has acquired.
A fan on Discord claims to have seen pages of “Dr. Stone” chapter 164 and shared that Stanley will show up in a plane of his own and challenge Ryusui and Senku. Both parties will try to chase one another before they attempt to get behind the other possibly aiming for a blind spot before attacking. The same source mentions Senku having machine gun while Ryusui has Yo’s pistol, and it is safe to assume that Stanley is armed.
The highlight of these upcoming showdown in “Dr. Stone” chapter 164 has to be the exhibition of flying skills as both Stanley and Ryusui perform several maneuvers in the air. It is also a good time to remind fans that Ryusui is well-versed in flying aircraft; he even said in an earlier chapter that he used to fly his chopper or private jet just to go shopping.
At one point, Ryusui reportedly performs a loop -- leaving Stanley surprised that he could do that -- allowing him to get behind Stanley in “Dr. Stone” chapter 164. Ryusui removes his helmet and points his gun at Stanley, but the chapter would end before he takes the shot.

“Dr. Stone” chapter 164 will be included in the next issue of Weekly Shonen Jump that should be available through digital release on Sunday, Sept. 6. The official English translation will be uploaded for free on Viz’s Shonen Jump and Manga Plus websites.
