It is now clearer than ever that “Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion” is not just simply recreating the original game and improving it through the engine used in developing “Skyrim.” Another proof to that is the latest update from the developers confirming that they are beyond what fans have been expecting by adding new details in the environment of Black Marsh.
'Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion’ gameplay: Volunteer devs confirm expanding Black Marsh
“Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion” developer and Reddit user u/SkyblivionDee released the latest teaser for the game featuring a brief scene exploring some areas in Black Marsh. The game character is seen walking around the area and later approaching the border gate of Black Marsh. Avid fans of the “Elder Scrolls” series immediately noticed that some details were not present in the original title.
u/SkyblivionDee confirmed the fan’s observation was correct because they have actually added more details in the Black Marsh border gate for “Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion.” The developer explained in the video’s description that the team originally planned to just have the gate completely shut and work on the landscaping of the areas that can be seen on the screen. “The gate, although the area behind the gate got more and more detailed, so I decided to open it up to the player,” u/Skyblivion added.
Video game fans are unsurprisingly impressed by the new update. It should be noted that the developers working on “Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion” are volunteers of the project and are not being paid for their work. But many fans agree that the quality of their work showcased through gameplay clips show the mod is on par with the quality of AAA titles from major studios.
'Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion’ release date: When is the fan-made game coming out
It has also become a common thing for the “Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion” developers to constantly get asked about the game’s release date. With the mod’s quality shown so far and the fact that the developers cannot work on the title full-time, many have been speculating that it would still take many years before it gets released.
One fan even joked that “Elder Scrolls: Skyblivion” might not be out until 2045. Still, the developer responded and implied that 2021 is a plausible release date window.
