The strongest female member of the Fairy Tail guild is about to join the battle against Avatar, but before Erza arrives, Gray still has a lot of explaining to do in “Fairy Tail” Episode 282. After freeing Natsu, Lucy, and Happy, Gray will reveal that he has actually been working undercover this whole time in coordination with Erza and they want to stop Avatar from achieving their goal, which is to attract the attention Zeref by murdering the people in Malba.
Meanwhile, the priest Arlock will also explain the plan to the Avatar cultists assembled outside Malba in “Fairy Tail” Episode 282. And as they head towards Malba to begin their attack, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Happy will appear at the entrance to the town. Gray’s betrayal angers the Avatar cultists, especially Jerome, but Erza arrives and starts to attack their rear before they can do anything about it.
As Natsu, Gray, and Lucy prevent the cultists from entering Malba, Jerome will try to take out Erza with a surprise attack, but the S-Class Mage managed to block it with her sword. After corroding every blade Erza used against him, Jerome will explain that his sword has the ability to destroy anything it touches. However, Erza doesn’t seem to be a fan of long-winded explanations as she defeats Jerome with several swift attacks.
With the help of Taurus, Lucy will battle Mary in “Fairy Tail” Episode 282 and just when she is on the verge of losing, Wendy and Carla will arrive to assist her. Mary will try to attack Wendy, but Lucy will knock out the Avatar cultist with a punch to the gut. Juvia will appear as well before Gray defeats Briar.
The cultists can’t possibly win, but Arlock says everything is going according to plan as he prepares to face Natsu. What is he planning? Find out more when “Fairy Tail” Episode 282 airs on Nov. 4.
