The pregnancy of Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) builds all the hype in “Fuller House” season 4. And, based on recent reports, it has also paved way for the addition of some guest stars in the upcoming episodes.
Barber confirmed in a previous vlog that “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum Maria Canals-Barrera has joined the set of “Fuller House” season 4. According to TVLine, Canals-Barrera is going to play the role of Fernando Hernandez-Guerrero’s (Juan Pablo Di Pace) mother.
Not much is known about Canals-Barrera's guest role and what happens upon her arrival. However, it is highly possible that she decided to pay Fernando a visit after learning about Kimmy’s pregnancy. She is likely arriving in “Fuller House” season 4 in the hopes of meeting her grandchild. Unfortunately, it is apparently too late before she gets notified that Kimmy is pregnant as Jimmy Gibbler (Adam Hagenbuch) and Stephanie Tanner’s (Jodie Sweetin) surrogate.
Barber is one of the “Fuller House” season 4 cast members who have been very generous in leaving crumbs of spoilers and behind-the-scenes previews through social media. In one of her online updates, “American Horror Story” actress Leslie Grossman was also spotted on set.
Grossman is wearing a scrub suit in the said photo. It is also important to note that the picture in question was taken while the cast and crew were filming for the “Fuller House” season 4 finale. This means Grossman is most likely playing the role of Kimmy’s doctor while she goes into labor.
TVLine later confirmed Grossman's guest-starring role in “Fuller House” season 4. But whatever effect her character will have during such an important event in the Fullers’ and Gibblers’ lives is still unknown.
As mentioned, Kimmy appears to be giving birth in the finale of “Fuller House” season 4. But there is still the mystery of whether or not the family is going to welcome more than one baby before closing the season.
The filming of “Fuller House” season 4 just recently wrapped up. Unfortunately, Netflix has yet to announced its release date but speculations predict a 2019 premiere.
