“Game of Thrones” season 8 has been confirmed to be the series’s finale. And since it is the end, fans will witness great bloodshed as the main characters like Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) fight to claim the Iron Throne. The battles with the army of White Walkers will definitely claim lives, but who will die among them?
In his live Q&A interview with People a few days ago, Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell) shared his views on how “Game of Thrones” season 8 will end. He also talked about the imminent deaths in the finale and what he said is just too much.
Firstly, Jones said that he thinks there will be no more throne and the power will instead be given back to the individual kingdoms. On his guess about who will die in the end, he said that maybe everyone will and this is because things in Westeros often end tragically.
“I think eventually what will happen is just everyone will die,” he said.
At any rate, Finn Jones’s character already died in the season 6 finale, so, in a way, he is fortunate since he does not have to go through the kind of bloodbath that has never been seen before in the drama.
Another “GoT” star shared his thoughts on “Game of Thrones” season 8 and what he said was either a hint or a prediction. As per Express, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister in the series, revealed that his character’s journey to the North will be riddled with obstacles and teased that he might even die before reaching his destination. “Well, he is heading north. I don’t think you can assume that he’s going to make it up there, but who knows,” he said.
The Danish actor also provided a possible scenario where Jaime Lannister can die. He said that he might be eaten by dragons or battered by hardships as he travels but “you never know.” If he will live, Nikolaj suggests that he may end up finding the love of his life.
Meanwhile, in July, Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) revealed that she already filmed her last scenes and hinted at a violent ending when she posted an Instagram photo showing grisly-looking blood-stained shoes. In her caption, she said goodbye to her character and the show.
“Game of Thrones” season 8 does not have a release date yet but it is predicted to come during the first half of 2019.
