Everybody knows how much Prince William and Prince Harry adored their mother, Princess Diana of Wales.
And, although Princess Diana had tragically passed away in 1997, her sons wanted her to be part of their most special moments such as in their respective marriages.
After the death of Princess Diana, her sons inherited her impressive jewelry collection.
Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011 while Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in 2018. And, both Princes made sure to honor their beloved mother during the most important moments of their lives.
Prince William, who inherited Princess Diana's stunning engagement ring, gave it to Kate which the Duchess of Cambridge wore when her engagement to the Duke of Cambridge was announced.
According to the Daily Express, Prince William had said that he gave his mother's engagement ring to Kate because it was his way of making sure that the Princess of Wales would not miss out on the day of his wedding.
The ring's centerpiece is a 12-carat oval blue Ceylon sapphire and surrounded by 14 diamonds set in white gold of 18 carats.
Meghan Markle's engagement ring, on the other hand, also had something taken from the jewelry collection of Princess Diana.
Although Prince Harry got the main stone from Botswana, the smaller diamonds on either side of it came from Princess Diana's collection.
Prince Harry said he had the two diamonds there to make sure that his mother would be with them on their "crazy" journey.
Meghan Markle was also seen wearing the aquamarine ring that used to belong to Princess Diana to the evening reception of her wedding day.
Kate Middleton has also been seen sporting earrings previously owned by Princess Diana, particularly the diamond and pearl earrings that she wore to the BAFTA Awards in 2019.
